Although National Monitoring Center began its California operations in Aliso Viejo in 2001, the management team has actually been together for over 25 years, collectively bringing a vast amount of industry expertise and experience to ensure the success of its growing dealer base and their clients. In 2008, NMC expanded its operations into the Southern states by opening its dual redundant facility in Irving, Texas.

 

With a solid foundation of unsurpassed reputation in the industry, NMC is now poised to move into its all new facility in Lake Forest, California in April, setting the bar for future monitoring centers.

NMC has made a substantial investment to purchase and build the brand new Lake Forest facility, as well as all new leading-edge monitoring center technologies including hardware, infrastructure, telecommunications and redundancies. This investment represents the future in central monitoring stations, providing NMC’s dealers the competitive edge to succeed in the marketplace

 

The new facility has an infrastructure that allows for additional redundancies that go above and beyond what is standard and typical in the security industry.  It boasts the most modern and updated telecommunications and computer automation in the marketplace.  NMC spared no expense to acquire the newest technologies in existence to build an infrastructure to support its operations and future growth for years to come.  By building this foundation, NMC has the ability to offer new products and services so our dealers and clients can reap the benefits of NMC’s investment.

A valuable education

A key component to the new 25,000 square foot California location is the debut of the NMC Education Center which provides meeting spaces and training facilities for our dealers and their clients.  This seminar facility accommodates 50 people comfortably and features classroom style seating, monitors and other audio visual equipment to facilitate hands on training for our dealers.

 

This interactive approach provides our dealers with advanced and practical training on the latest technologies, manufacturer products and industry trends to better equip our dealers compete in the marketplace. NMC’s Education Center will also be host to a variety of other monthly marketing events and seminars so stay tuned for a list of events posted on our website.

NMC’s Caller ID is changing

If you’ve recently noticed a different phone number for calls coming from NMC, there is a good reason behind it.   Some telephone companies are blocking our calls due to what they view as FCC’s regulation of “spoofing”.  As a result, NMC is changing our caller ID display from 800-000-0000 to 800-662-1711.

 

In the past, NMC was not able to complete some calls when we displayed the number 800-000-0000.  By now moving our number to 800-662-1711, we are not impeded in any way by local telephone companies from completing our telephone call to our end users.  Additionally, this addresses a growing request from alarm dealers for an easy way for end users to press “redial” on their telephones to quickly call back the central station.  By displaying 800-662-1711, we are now able to provide this level of service.
